class=\"elementor-text-editor elementor-clearfix\">\n<h2 style=\"font-size: 26px;\">What is Myopia?<\/h2>\n<\/p>\n<p><strong>Myopia<\/strong> is the condition whereby near objects are seen clearly, and <strong>distant objects are blurred<\/strong>, blurred or not seen at all. This results from a larger than normal length of the eye in its anterior posterior axis.<\/p>\n<p><strong>The cornea<\/strong> (which is the layer of transparent tissue in front of the iris at the pupil) is also more curved than it should be. It usually appears during childhood or adolescence and stabilizes during youth.<\/p>\n<p>In general, it is suggested <span style=\"color: #65bdc2;\"><br \/>\n  <a style=\"color: #65bdc2;\" href=\"https:\/\/www.clinicadrtirado.com\/en\/perfect-view\/\"><br \/>\n    <strong>refractive surgery,<\/strong><br \/>\n  <\/a><br \/>\n<\/span> in the case of patients between 20 and 65 years of age and a stabilized myopia with values ranging from -1 to -30 diopters.<\/p>\n<\/p>\n<h2 style=\"font-size: 26px;\">What are the symptoms of myopia?<\/h2>\n<\/div>\n<\/div>\n<div class=\"elementor-element elementor-element-f1991a2 elementor-widget elementor-widget-text-editor\" data-id=\"f1991a2\" data-element_type=\"widget\" data-widget_type=\"text-editor.default\">\n<div class=\"elementor-widget-container\">\n<div class=\"elementor-text-editor elementor-clearfix\">\n<p>The most striking symptom is <strong>poor distance vision<\/strong>, with relatively good near vision. <strong>Poor night vision<\/strong>, the need to squint to try to focus on distant objects, and sometimes<strong> headache or visual fatigue<\/strong> are also common.<\/p>\n<\/div>\n<\/div>\n<\/div>\n<div class=\"elementor-element elementor-element-f321103 elementor-widget elementor-widget-heading\" data-id=\"f321103\" data-element_type=\"widget\" data-widget_type=\"heading.default\">\n<div class=\"elementor-widget-container\">\n<h2 style=\"font-size: 26px;\">Types of Myopia<\/h2>\n<\/div>\n<\/div>\n<div class=\"elementor-element elementor-element-f53f378 elementor-widget elementor-widget-text-editor\" data-id=\"f53f378\" data-element_type=\"widget\" data-widget_type=\"text-editor.default\">\n<div class=\"elementor-widget-container\">\n<div class=\"elementor-text-editor elementor-clearfix\">\n<p>Myopia can <strong>be axial<\/strong> (due to either an increase in the length of the anteroposterior axis of the eye), <strong>curvature myopia <\/strong>(secondary to a high corneal curvature), or <strong>index myopia<\/strong> (due to an increase in the refractive index of the crystalline lens, which occurs for example in nuclear cataracts).<\/p>\n<\/div>\n<\/div>\n<\/div>\n<div class=\"elementor-element elementor-element-d0973da elementor-widget elementor-widget-heading\" data-id=\"d0973da\" data-element_type=\"widget\" data-widget_type=\"heading.default\">\n<div class=\"elementor-widget-container\">\n<h2 style=\"font-size: 26px;\">Causes of Myopia<\/h2>\n<\/div>\n<\/div>\n<div class=\"elementor-element elementor-element-39d2a43 elementor-widget elementor-widget-text-editor\" data-id=\"39d2a43\" data-element_type=\"widget\" data-widget_type=\"text-editor.default\">\n<div class=\"elementor-widget-container\">\n<div class=\"elementor-text-editor elementor-clearfix\">\n<p>There are several factors that explain the causes of myopia, among which are the:<\/p>\n<ul>\n<li>\n<p><strong>Hereditary factors<\/strong>: The inheritance of myopia is multifactorial, not from a single gene.
